The free concert at Rosse Hall features an ensemble considered a pioneer in woodwind chamber music and now in residency at the Juilliard School in New York City. The quintet has been performing worldwide for about 70 years, has commissioned many compositions, and has recorded a number of albums. The quintet includes Mark Goldberg (bassoon), Charles Neidich (clarinet), William Purvis (French horn), Stephen Taylor (oboe), and Carol Wincenc (flute).
After one concert, a review in the New York Times praised “a treasurable performance of courteous give and take, suggestion and response, purposeful direction.”
