Dear Kenyon alumni and friends of the College,
It is with great joy that we re-open campus after 18 months of restrictions put in place to protect our community during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our alumni and parent engagement office is so excited to be able to allow visitors back after a year and a half of strictly virtual connections!
If you haven’t heard the exciting news, our school year is off to a record-breaking start as we welcome the largest incoming class in the College’s history, as well as a stronger than expected group of students overall for the 2021-22 academic year. To accommodate the additional students, we have introduced several new housing options on and off campus as well as a semester-long study abroad program designed specifically for first-year students, Kenyon-Copenhagen. Among the new housing options is the Kenyon Inn, whose 30 guest rooms will be used exclusively for student housing during the 2021-22 academic year, including breaks. (Before you get too jealous, they’re still sleeping in twin beds and no room service privileges will be granted.)
While the Kenyon Inn will not be able to accommodate overnight guests visiting campus beginning in August, the restaurant will remain open for regular meal service. There are several other accommodation options we hope you'll consider when planning your return to campus this year. Please visit our website for an updated list of places to stay, as well as dining recommendations in town.
Thank you for your understanding as we’ve pivoted to plan for another unprecedented year at Kenyon. We look forward to seeing you once again on campus and in the alumni office. If you do plan a visit, please feel free to let us know so we can say hello!
