Senior Skyler Lesser-Roy will present a voice recital for the music major.

Skyler Lesser-Roy is a senior from Larchmont, New York. She is a music and political science double major, with a public policy concentration and a Chinese minor. In high school, Skyler took private lessons in voice, piano and violin, and had the pleasure of studying under Celeste Simone for voice, Steve Huter for piano, and Nicole Sharlow for violin. Skyler also participated in many regional choirs and orchestras; in 2016, she was fortunate enough to be selected for the NYSSMA All-State Mixed Choir as a soprano II.

At Kenyon, Skyler has enjoyed the many performance opportunities the community has had to offer. She is currently a member of the Chamber Singers under the direction of Benjamin Locke, has enjoyed arranging music and singing for Take Five a cappella group, and has taken voice lessons from Tamara Seckel for three years. Beyond music, Skyler enjoys acting with the Kenyon College Players, has served on Student Council for three years, and is currently serving as the chair of health and safety on Student Council, as well as representing her class on Campus Senate. She plans to pursue public health policy, specifically regarding mental health initiatives
