Robert Moses engages movement as a medium to grapple with the experiences of race, class, culture, and gender. His focus on the expressiveness of the human body and his desire to speak with the voices of his African American heritage integrate into dynamic performance works that speak to the existence of our greater potential and unfulfilled possibilities. Moses' diverse and internationally-acclaimed company is known for its eclectic movement vocabulary, demanding choreography, ferocious dancing and provocative themes. As a response to the disruptions of this year, Moses has compiled "Short Stories," a selection of solos and duets from his award-winning repertory that focus on Black lives, social justice and the transformative power of art in our lives. Integrating storytelling and movement, these works collectively tell tales as diverse as they are familiar.

Questions and an open discussion will follow.
