The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) will host a virtual social for first generation members of the campus community.

The First Gen Social will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m. EDT via Zoom, and the event is open to all first generation students, faculty, and staff across campus. The Zoom link will be sent in a forthcoming email on the day before the event.

As a reminder, someone is recognized as first generation if either of the following are true: 1) neither of the student’s parents have a four-year college degree or 2) the student only receives support from one parent who does not have a four-year college degree.

If you are a current first generation student on campus, we hope that you will join us so that you can make connections both to your peers and to first generation faculty and staff across campus. If you are a faculty and/or staff member who is a first generation graduate, we hope that you will join us for this event as well.

If you have any questions about this program, please contact the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at odei@kenyon.edu.
