Did you know that the first human-centered AI curriculum in the world was started here at Kenyon? And that students have been using AI — including large language models like ChatGPT — to conduct research since 2020? In this talk, Professor Katherine Elkins (IPHS) presents some of the ground-breaking AI research by Kenyon students followed by a preview of what to expect in AI over the next few years. She'll also talk about recent Kenyon collaborations with Meta, Bloomberg, the IBM/Notre Dame Tech Ethics Lab and the US AI Safety Institute. The short talk will be followed by a Q&A in which you can ask all your AI questions.

Join us on Thursday, Oct. 3, for this exciting presentation from our own Professor Elkins sponsored by the Program in Computing and IPHS. The presentation will begin in the Community Foundation Theater in the Gund Gallery at 11:10 a.m. We hope to see you there!
