On Friday, Nov. 14, from 1:15 - 4 p.m., the Kenyon community is invited to see student archaeologists in action and learn about the findings at the Bishop Cabin's site located on the lawn in front of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
This semester, students in ANTH 465: Campus Archaeology are continuing to uncover the foundation of the first dining hall on campus, constructed in 1828 under Bishop Philander Chase and demolished in the 1850s. They are also exploring the interior of the dining hall, and a possible latrine or trash pit right outside of the structure.
Stop by and learn about campus life for the first generation of Kenyon College students.
