Jill Locotos Kerkhoff has been an educator since 1990, beginning as an elementary school teacher in New Mexico, teaching kindergarten and first grade at Kewa Pueblo and Albuquerque Country Day School. She began gardening and educating children outdoors at Khalsa Montessori School in Tucson, Arizona, and joined the Brown Family Environmental Center staff when she moved to Ohio in 2005.

Jill is the landscape designer and head gardener for the BFEC Wildlife Garden. She works closely with Kenyon students and community volunteers to design, maintain and improve the gardens. She also coordinates volunteer activities throughout the academic year and serves as the office manager for the BFEC. Jill loves helping to foster beauty in the lives of the people, plants and animals that make the BFEC such a magical place.
