Kenyon College welcomes Guest Researchers
Guest Researchers, that is researchers who are not students of or employed by Kenyon College, must apply for a Kenyon IRB review and receive approval before they may do any research which involves or potentially involves human subjects who are students or employees of Kenyon College. Timing of Submission
The Kenyon IRB usually meets a few times a semester. Protocols requiring a Full Board Review need to be submitted at least two weeks prior to the next board meeting. Exempt and Expedited reviews may be submitted any time during the semester. Protocols submitted in the summer may take longer. Though the Kenyon IRB tries to complete all reviews in a timely manner, the length of time it takes to review a protocol depends largely on how complete and clear the application is. Reviews are not started until all required materials are received by the administrator.
