Karen graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1982. After graduation, she moved to the Sacramento area where she worked in the NICU at Sutter Memorial Hospital. Upon her return to Ohio, Karen worked in both public health and the school setting until she obtained a master’s degree in nursing from The Ohio State University in 2004. She joined the staff at Kenyon College Health and Counseling Center in August, 2009 after working in private practice. Karen is active professionally as a preferred provider with the Center for Balanced Living in Columbus. She continues to serve on the board of the Mohican Ohio Nurses Association and is a member of Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and American College Health Association. Karen enjoys being outdoors and is the co-event director of the Mansfield, Ohio, parkrun, a free weekly timed 5K run.
