Jill Engel-Hellman is starting her fifth year as Kenyon’s Director of Residential Life/Assistant Dean of Students. Before coming to Kenyon, she was a part of residential life programs at Denison University, the University of Maryland, and Binghamton University.
As a residential college, students’ residence halls experience plays an integral role in their Kenyon experience. Jill is committed to working with students, staff and faculty to fulfill the Office's Mission Statement: The Office of Residential Life cultivates safe and inclusive living communities by constructing a framework where residents live and learn together and its Educational Priority: The Office of Residential Life provides an environment in which students learn to be engaged community members; develop healthy habits, routines, and behaviors; successfully navigate college life; and effectively communicate with one another in order to create an inclusive community.
In her spare time Jill enjoys running, biking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
