Select your Primary and Secondary Advisor, if you have not already done so, and get to work. |

Thursday, |
One page summary of your proposed honors paper and its argument along with chapter outline due to advisors and Department chair. |

Tuesday, |
Oral presentations to Department and other honors students of summary of your proposed honors paper and its argument along with chapter outline. |
|
Friday, |
One completed chapter to your advisors (will be returned to student within two weeks, before Thanksgiving Vacation). |

Monday, |
Revised first chapter to your advisor |

December |
Department Committee will evaluate work to date. Continuation in Honors will be contingent on the quality of your work during the first semester, specifically the first revised chapter. The Department will meet to collectively evaluate the progress of students in Honors. Students not allowed to continue in honors will receive a grade from their advisors for a one-semester independent study. |
