Presidential inauguration set for October

GAMBIER, Ohio (July 28, 2003) Kenyon will inaugurate S. Georgia Nugent as the College's eighteenth president during the weekend of October 24-26. The inaugural theme, "To Seek a Newer World," is drawn from Alfred Tennyson's poem Ulysses. Evoking President Nugent's scholarship and her love of the classics, the theme symbolizes exploration and engagement across academic divisions, between ancient and modern learning, and between Kenyon and its surroundings.

The weekend will include a variety of celebratory activities, highlighted by the inaugural ceremony Saturday afternoon and an inaugural ball later that evening. Please mark the date, and note that more details will follow. Learn more about S. Georgia Nugent...
