Brant Russell

Visiting Assistant Professor of Drama

Brant Russell is a graduate of Kenyon (BA, political science major) and Northwestern University (MFA, stage directing). He is a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab, and an associate member of SDC. Brant has worked on the staffs of Writers' Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and Steppenwolf, where he led post-show discussions for five years. He has taught at Steppenwolf, Northwestern University, and now at Kenyon. Brant has worked as a producer and/or director at Theater Seven, Steep Theater Company, Steppenwolf, Collaboraction, MoonPie Productions, Next Theater, Victory Gardens, The Side Project, Around The Coyote, and others. His short plays have been produced by Collaboraction and American Blues Theater. He has appeared onstage in productions and readings for Next Theater, Theater-Hikes, Steep / Naked Angels, and Strawdog Theater.
