April Jehan Morris

Visiting Assistant Professor

A Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History for the 2012-2013 year, April Morris teaches classes that reach across the medieval world. Her primary research has been in the visual culture of the Crusades, with a focus on the medieval Aquitaine. She also teaches classes which explore the rich world of the medieval imagination and attitude towards the natural (and sometimes supernatural) world. Her other area of interest is the medieval Islamic world, and classes in this area explore the wide range of architectural and artistic expressions of those complex societies.
