Jeanne Griggs received her BA in English from Hendrix College in 1982, her MA in English Language and Literature with a Minor in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1985, and her PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1992.

She became the Director of the Writing Center at Kenyon College at one-sixth time in 1991, finishing her dissertation on Eighteenth-Century Ironic Satire, and staying until 2011, when the position was increased to half-time. Her interests include Rhetoric and Composition, Seventeenth and Eighteenth-Century British Satire, Poetry, Creative Writing, and Interdisciplinary Studies.
