Voices Join Forces

GAMBIER, Ohio (January 18, 2011)

The Oriana Singers, the Chicago-based a cappella chamber choir, will perform at Kenyon College on Saturday, January 22, at 2:00 p.m.

The sextet will be joined by the Kenyon student vocalists in the Colla Voce quartet at the concert in the Brandi Recital Hall in Storer Hall.

The Oriana Singers were formed in 1979 and have developed a repertoire that embraces everything from Renaissance madrigals to Broadway classics, from classic to jazz. A review in the Chicago Sun-Times called the group "a small ensemble with a large imagination," and critics from three continents have praised praise their vocal versatility and intimate concerts.

The event is part of the Taylor Concert Series at Kenyon. The concert is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
