Alumni of Color Collective (AOCC)
The Kenyon College Alumni of Color Collective was founded by April Yvonne Garrett '92 and Robert King '97, as one of several core initiatives of the Kenyon College Alumni Council. The AOCC exists to: 1) Encourage more cohesive relationships among alumni of color and within the greater alumni community through increased participation in the Alumni Council and Regional Alumni Associations; 2) Create formal working relationships between alumni of color and administrative departments at the College (including, but not limited to admissions, academic affairs, career services, multicultural affairs, religious and spiritual life, student life, and athletics; 3) Compile a comprehensive history of people of color at the College including graduates, faculty and staff; 4) Plan a reunion for all alumni of color to return to campus in 2011 for a weekend of fellowship and networking in celebration of the many positive influences that Kenyon has had in our lives.
