Kenyon Jazz
GAMBIER, Ohio (October 28, 2010)The Kenyon Jazz Ensemble brings the Big Band sound and breaks into jazz combos for its fall concert on Friday, October 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Rosse Hall.
The ensemble, featuring sixteen Kenyon students, will explore the music of Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Charles Mingus and Miles Davis, among others. The ensemble is under the direction of Ted Buehrer, James D. and Cornelia W. Ireland Associate Professor of Music, a composer and performer on trumpet.
