Anatomy of a Course Description
ANATOMY OF A COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course number
Title

Description--limited to 250 words, including prerequisites, co-requisites, and other enrollment restrictions.
Remember to keep your descriptions as general as you can so you do not have to change the description when you tweak the course content. If a course is taught by a rotating list of faculty and each has a slight twist on the class, we recommend putting a more basic description in the catalog, with a note about various directions the course may take.
Frequency of offering--to help students plan their curricula in advance, please include, when possible, the frequency with which a course may be offered.
Instructor-list instructor's name if he or she is the only instructor who teaches that course. If a variety of faculty teach the course you must list Staff.

Style Guidelines--Please adhere to the Kenyon College Public Affairs style guide, available online (http://www.kenyon.edu/x42366.xml).
