GAMBIER, Ohio (February 18, 2010) The Department of Music brings an international flavor to Kenyon this week with concerts by classical guitarist Adriano Sebastiani of Italy and organist Franz Raml of Germany.

Sebastiani performs on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Brandi Recital Hall, and Raml is in concert on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Both concerts are free, and the public is encouraged to attend.

Sebastiani is among the leading specialists in guitar chamber music and a noted musicologist. He has performed around the world as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. He heads the guitar department at the Francesco Petrarca Classical Lyceum of Arezzo in Tuscany. His appearance at Kenyon is part of the Warner Concert Series.

Raml is organist in charge of the historic Holzhey organ in the Abbey of Rot in Germany. The celebrated German musician performs in concert on organ and harpsichord, serves as a conductor for the Hassler-Consort and German Mozart Orchestra, and teaches courses on the historical performance of instrumental and vocal music. His extensive repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to baroque and Viennese classics. His appearance at Kenyon is part of the Taylor Concert Series.
