Experimental Theater Group on Stage at Kenyon College

GAMBIER, Ohio (November 4, 2009)

Nationally-renowned theater group Missoula Oblongata will perform The Moon, the Raccoon, the Hot Air Balloon on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Horn Gallery, 105-A College-Park Street.

Known for its home-made sets and imaginative shows, this Baltimore-based, experimental-theater company creates and tours original work. The Moon, the Raccoon, the Hot Air Balloon takes place at a World's Fair, where a raccoon, her trainer, and a magician create palindromes, cast spells, and, with the help of the audience, hatch an elaborate escape plan.

Missoula Oblongata will also hold a theater workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and participating Kenyon students and community members will stage their own performance at 7 p.m. Contact Erin McKinney at mckinneye@kenyon.edu for more information about the workshop.

The events are free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
