John Reitz

Adjunct Instructor of Piano, Piano Coordinator

Mr. Reitz grew up in Portland, Oregan, where he won solo competitions of the Portland Chamber Orchestra, the Portland Youth Orchestra, the Oregon Symphony and the Spokane Symphony. He also was awarded the Donald Cameron Scholarship for study at the Banff School of Fine Arts and the National Stillman-Kelley Scholarship of the National Federation of Music Clubs.

At Indiana University, Mr. Reitz studied with pianists Sidney Foster, Abbey Simon, Jorge Bolet and Bronja Foster. He was awarded the Performers' Certificate by the combined faculty of the School of Music.

Since coming to Kenyon. Mr. Reitz has appeared with the Knox County Symphony, the Southeast Ohio Symphony Orchestra and the Metamorphosis Chamber Ensemble, in addition to many solo and collaborative recitals.
