Bookstore update

The search for a new general manager of the College bookstore is under way. Yvonne Farson has been appointed to serve as interim manager until the new manager is in place. Farson, currently the bookstore operations manager, will be the point of contact for departments and outside organizations or people with bookstore needs, said Mark Kohlman, chief business officer.

Meanwhile, the job of general manager has been posted and a search committee finalized. Members of the committee are: Claudia Esslinger, Ray Heithaus '68, Mark Kohlman, Jesse Matz , Lisa Schott '80, David Suggs, Kim Totman, James Weeks '11, and Emery Williams '10.

The committee has established a timeline for the search. Review of applications will take place through mid-October, with interviews to be held the last week of October and first week of November. Kohlman said his goal is to have a new bookstore manager on the job by early January 2010.
