"We the People..."

Sutton has served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit since 2003, after nomination by President George W. Bush. Sutton clerked for Supreme Court justices Lewis Powell and Antonin Scalia. He has worked in private practice in Columbus, Ohio, and is a former Ohio state solicitor and former adjunct professor of law at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Sutton has also worked as a high school history teacher and soccer coach.
Constitution Day is celebrated nationally on September 17.
