Kenyon College invites applications for a Tenure Track position in the Department of Philosophy. This appointment begins in the Fall of 2010.
Introduction
The Department of Philosophy at Kenyon College invites applications for a tenure track position in philosophy at the assistant or instructor level beginning in the fall of 2010. Area of Specialization: Open; Area of Competence: Kant or German Idealism or the history of early analytic philosophy. The department is looking for a philosopher with broad interests who is passionate about teaching in a liberal arts setting and is committed to regularly teaching courses in the areas of competence listed above. In addition to teaching, the successful applicant will be expected to pursue an active research agenda and show promise of the same. Duties of the position involve teaching 5 undergraduate courses per academic year as well as regular departmental work.

Salaries at Kenyon are competitive and commensurate with experience. There are a number of faculty development opportunities (e.g. travel, research funds, etc.) for which appointees are eligible.
