Tom Karako

Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science, Postdoctoral Fellow with the Center for the Study of American Democracy

Tom Karako is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Kenyon College and the postdoctoral fellow for Kenyon's Center for the Study of American Democracy. He is currently researching and writing on the independent constitutional authority of the president to enter into international executive agreements.

Karako received his Ph.D. in Politics and Policy from Claremont Graduate University. He has previously taught national security policy, American government, and constitutional law at Claremont McKenna College and California State University, San Bernardino.

Karako has published on defense policy, state politics, and executive-congressional relations in journals and newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times, Investors Business Daily, the Journal of International Security Policy, the Claremont Review of Books, and Defense News.
