M. Beverly Morse

Associate Dean of Admissions and Director of International Admissions

Bev Morse has worked in the Kenyon Admissions Office since 1987, having come from Oberlin College, where she was also a member of the admissions staff. Here at Kenyon, her travel territory includes Colorado, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Utah, Vermont and Asia. She's also responsible for international student admissions. In addition, Bev serves as the office's data specialist, overseeing research and computer systems.

A graduate of Wilson College, Bev went on to pursue advanced degrees at the Hartt School of Music, Yale University, and the City University of New York. A cellist, she has performed in Carnegie Hall. As a music scholar, she served as an editor of the Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale, a global bibliography, and a contributing author for Women in American Music. She shared her admissions expertise as a contributing author for 50 College Admissions Directors Speak to Parents.

Bev plays the cello in the Knox Country Symphony and serves on the scholarship selection committees of the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon and Knox County and the Mount Vernon High School Academic Booster Club. She loves to bike, swim, garden, make music, hike, and visit family, including her two sons, who live in Hanover, New Hampshire, and Chicago, Illinois.
