Elizabeth R. Forman

Senior Associate Director

Liz is a Kenyon alumna and also a member of the celebrated Class of 1973, the first coed class in the College's previously all-male history. After graduating with a degree in history, she went on to earn an M.A. in English. But before long, she was back in Gambier, helping to manage the Kenyon Festival Theater, a summer series that ran from 1980 to 1984. She also worked briefly with an off-Broadway theater company in New York.

Then came a parade of jobs at Kenyon. At various times, Liz has served as registrar, head of the libraries, and coordinator for Commencement and Reunion Weekend. For many years, she has also served as a workshop leader in Young Writers, the summer writing program for high school students run by the Kenyon Review. Liz joined the admissions staff in 1995.

Liz is an avid reader and film-goer who enjoys sharing her enthusiasms. She's also a leading citizen in Gambier's lively dog-lover subculture and will happily regale you with stories about her Sealyham terrier, Jenkins, who is named for the main character of Anthony Powell's A Dance to the Music of Time.
