The Richard Kingan Liggitt Memorial Award
Richard Kingan Liggitt, known to friends as "Chard" was a 1974 Kenyon graduate who majored in Art History. After graduation he received his Master of Science from the University of Georgia in Landscaping and Architecture. This award, established in memory of Mr. Liggitt in 1991, was made possible by a bequest from his estate and by the generosity of his friends.
This award is granted on Honors Day to a graduating Art History major, as chosen by the faculty of the Art History department, who has shown outstanding achievement in the study of Art History. This award was first presented in 1992 and continues today. Each recipients name is engraved on a plaque displayed in the Gund Gallery, the home of the Art History department.
