Borden Atrium
The Borden Atrium honors the memory of John William Borden, Class of 1949. A devoted alumnus with a lifelong fascination with Charles Connick's stained-glass windows in Peirce Hall, Borden served as an alumni trustee from 1982 to 1985. He retired as vice president for administration with Dean Witter Reynolds in San Francisco, California.
Chadeayne Dining Room
The Chadeayne Dining Room honors the memory of William R. Chadeayne, Class of 1950. Secretary of the Kenyon Board of Trustees from 1967 until his death in 1987, Chadeayne was a Harvard-trained lawyer who was a long-time partner in the law firm of Bricker and Eckler in Columbus, Ohio.
Leach Dining Room
The Leach Dining Room honors the memory of Lewis Carlisle Leach, Class of 1955. Known as Tim, Leach was a dedicated alumnus of Kenyon who served as a class agent, as an officer of his regional association in Tampa, Florida, and as a member of the Kenyon Fund Executive Committee. He retired as a sales manager with U.S. Gypsum.
Marriott Society Dining Room
The Marriott Society Dining Room is named in recognition of members of the George Wharton Marriott Society, those people who have informed the College that Kenyon is included in their wills. The society takes its name from George Wharton Marriott, an early British benefactor of the College.
The Pub
The Pub is a gift, donated "in the spirit of friendship, honor, and tradition that exemplify both Kenyon College and the Great State of Texas," from Houston residents James R. Pierce Jr., Class of 1978, and Ben A. Guill, father of John L. Guill, Class of 2002, and Hugh B. Guill, Class of 2008. An active alumnus, Pierce is chairman of the Global Marine and Energy Practice of Marsh, Inc., in Houston, Texas. Guill is former president of First Reserve Corporation, also in Houston.
Ramser Dining Room
The Ramser Dining Room is a gift of Susan Ramser, a Kenyon trustee. Trained as an engineer, Ramser is an executive with Ohio Cumberland Gas Company in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She is also president of Ramser Arboretum in Jelloway, Ohio, and a commissioner of the Knox County Park District.
Thomas Hall
Thomas Hall honors Trustee Emeritus Richard L. Thomas, Class of 1953, and his wife, Helen Moore Thomas, parents of David P. Thomas of the Class of 1981. Dick Thomas, who retired as chairman of First Chicago NBD Corporation, served as a Kenyon trustee for many years, twice taking on the role of chairman. Donors to Thomas Hall include:

Office of the Collegian
The office of the Kenyon Collegian, the student newspaper, was given by Richard A. Rubin, Class of 1962, father of Pilar Rubin Prime, Class of 2000. Rubin, who served as an editor of the Collegian during his student years, is a former alumni trustee, Kenyon Parents Fund chair and member of the Kenyon Fund Executive Committee and the Parents Advisory Council. He is the president of Richard A. Rubin and Associates in San Francisco, California.
Composting Facility
The composting facility was made possible by Joseph E. Lipscomb, Class of 1987, and his wife, Laura E. Will. A Kenyon trustee, Lipscomb is a partner in Arborview Capital LLC in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
Mayer Elevator
The Mayer Elevator was given by the Nathan Cummings Foundation in honor of Beatrice Cummings Mayer, mother of Robert N. Mayer, Class of 1971. Beatrice Mayer, known as Buddy, is a Kenyon trustee emerita who received an honorary doctorate from the College in 1987 in recognition of her service to Kenyon and the many other institutions and organizations that have benefited from her philanthropy.
