Classes Go On Despite Ongoing Outages

GAMBIER, Ohio (September 15, 2008) Although Kenyon lost power again on Monday evening, College officials were planning to hold classes as usual on Tuesday. They urged the campus community to call the emergency update number: 740-427-7007.

Kenyon lost power on Sunday, September 14, along with many other locations in Ohio, as severe winds whipped through the state. Trees and limbs were down throughout the region. The College canceled classes on Monday morning, but afternoon classes were held. The College briefly regained power late Monday afternoon. Students continue to have access to meals in the Peirce Hall commons.
