Second Floor

Museum/Exhibit Gallery

This 6129-square foot gallery will transform the nature of the exhibits presented at Kenyon. For the first time, major shows, both historical and contemporary, including exhibitions of large-scale works of art, will be possible. Works from the College's growing permanent collection as well as objects loaned by partner museums, will be displayed here with a space that will be regularly used as a classroom. Designed for maximum flexibility, this generously sized, climate-controlled, and secure gallery will allow the College to host touring exhibitions or Kenyon -originated shows, and can be configured for single exhibits or multiple, complementary exhibits. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with curators and contemporary artists in a space that will adapt through movable walls and other means to accommodate the specific display requirements of a wide range of interdisciplinary shows.
