Balinda Craig-Quijada

Associate Professor of Dance

Balinda Craig-Quijada came to Kenyon College in 2000 as director of the dance program. Prior to that she was on the faculty at The Ohio State University Department of Dance from 1998-2000. Her pickup company, BCQ DANCE, is based in Columbus, Ohio, and has received various grants and invitations to perform in joint concerts with companies in Seattle, San Francisco, Oakland, and Chicago, as well as locally at Ohio State, Kenyon, and Ohio Wesleyan. Her choreography has been featured twice in the gala concert of the American College Dance Festival. Craig-Quijada performs regularly with the Columbus-based HighJinks Dance Company under the direction of Kristina Isabelle. She recently developed a CD-ROM, "Introduction to Les Ballets Russes," for use as a teaching tool in Dance 105. Craig-Quijada is currently a board member of the American College Dance Festival Association.
