Thomas Turgeon

Professor Emeritus of Drama

Tom Turgeon has been teaching at Kenyon since 1972. Educated at Amherst College and the Yale School of Drama, Turgeon has appeared in or directed over 40 productions in the academic and professional theatre. His translations of the plays of Marivaux and Moliere have been produced at Kenyon and elsewhere, and he is the author of Improvising Shakespeare: Reading for the Stage. His teaching responsibilities include courses in Acting, Theatre History, Classical Theatre, Renaissance Theatre, and Theatre of the 17th and 18th Centuries.
