Off-campus use of the extended directories

The Extended Search and Faces Search of the Campus Directory are now available from off campus. The Extended Search is available only to all Kenyon members with network accounts, and the Faces Search is available only to employees (but not students) . You can connect to these directories in one of the following ways:

If you have Kenyon's VPN (Kenyon's Virtual Private Network) client software installed on your off-campus computer:

  1. Open the VPN software (double-click the VPN icon) and login to the Kenyon network with your network username and password. Once logged in, you can choose to connect to campus network drives or Kenyon's internal web resources, just as if you were on campus.
  2. To access the Campus Directory click Gateway to Internal Kenyon Services.
  3. Under the Directories section, select Campus Directory.
  4. The Search, Extended Search (Kenyon members only) and Faces Search (Kenyon employees only) buttons will appear on the Campus Directory home page.

If you do not have the VPN software installed:

  1. Open your favorite web browser and go to URL http://login.kenyon.edu.
  2. Login with your network username and password. Click OK to continue.
  3. Once logged in, you can connect to Kenyon's internal web resources (but not network drives), just as if you were on campus.
  4. To access the Campus Directory click Gateway to Internal Kenyon Services.
  5. Under the Directories section, select Campus Directory.
  6. The Search, Extended Search (Kenyon members only) and Faces Search (Kenyon employees only) buttons will appear on the Campus Directory home page.
