CPC Course Approval Procedures

DEADLINES if you wish your new course to appear in the College Catalog:

December 1, for the Fall semester courses (of the following year) from the continuing faculty.
February 1, for the Spring semester courses (of the following year) from the continuing faculty.
April 1, CPC will consider proposals from the newly hired faculty

If the deadline is missed, the course can be taught as "Special Topics," but both students and faculty are better served when courses intended to be taught more than once are in the Catalog.

In all cases, we urge all faculty to submit their proposals as early as possible and well in advance of the deadlines.

Please remember that the course application procedure includes two forms, including a course description and a form for approval of the chair of the relevant department or program. Please note special instructions if your course is to be cross-listed. Both forms are required by the deadline. The forms are available online, at http://www.kenyon.edu/x41535.xml, or on the Provost's or Registrar's web sites as "Faculty Forms."
