Pre-Orientation 2012

Before day one...

Can't wait for orientation to begin? Want to get a jump-start on the Kenyon experience? We have just the program for you!

Kenyon offers five optional pre-orientation programs for entering students: an eleven-day scientific data program that gives you an introduction to scientific research, a seven-day program in writing and thinking to kick-start your academic journey, a seven-day backpacking and outdoors program for those seeking an adventurous beginning to college, a five-day community service program enabling you to become acquainted with greater Knox County, and a five-day leadership program for students wanting to get a jump start on campus involvement and learn essential leadership skills.

When you participate in a pre-orientation program, you'll arrive on campus early, move into your residence hall, and begin meeting like-minded classmates. Applications will be available online beginning April 1, 2012.

Move-In

Scientific Data participants will arrive on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Writing and Thinking and Outdoors Club Pre-O participants will arrive on Sunday, August 19, 2012. Service Pre-O and Ignite Leadership participants will arrive on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. All Pre-Orientation participants will move into their assigned residence hall rooms.
