The open enrollment period for the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for medical and dependent care will begin on May 15 and continue until June 15, 2005. You may learn about FSA at the Web site of the Office of Human Resources. Under "What's New," you can find out about the Flex Plan and download an election form.

If you are a current FSA participant, you may access your flexible reimbursable spending-account information online at www.flexben.com. Click on "Participants," click on "Participants" again, and then click on "ee-commerce." You will be prompted to enter your user ID (your Social Security number) and your password (your home zip code). You can access your account balances and view account activity at ee-commerce.com. After you view your personal data, it is important to log off the secure site. The log-off link is located in the left-hand column under the security heading.

If your child will reach the age of twenty-three this year or if you will lose a tax deduction because your son or daughter marries or becomes self-supporting, or if a divorce occurs in your family, your dependent may lose his or her coverage under Kenyon's health insurance plan. Employers must offer the opportunity to continue health insurance coverage to individuals who have lost their dependency status under a group health plan. To exercise this option, your dependents must notify the Office of Human Resources within sixty days of the date they have lost coverage. For additional information about this option, please contact the Office of Human Resources at 427-5771.
