Vaginitis
Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina caused by a bacteria or a parasite.
Symptoms
- Abnormal vaginal discharge.
- Offensive vaginal odor.
- Vaginal itching or burning.
- Pain or irritation with urination and during intercourse.
- Some women may have no symptoms.

Preventive Measures
- Good personal hygiene following sexual intercourse, urination and bowel movements. Clean from front to back, vagina to anus.
- Avoid wearing tight jeans, wet bathing suits or nylon panties.
- Cut down on sweets, milk products and artificial sweeteners.
- Partner may need to be treated before sexual activity is resumed to prevent reinfection.
- Recommend leaving tampon in no longer than 8 hours.

- Above-listed symptoms occur.
- Symptoms recur following treatment.
