Jane Martindell, dean for academic advising and support
Jane Martindell, dean for academic advising and support, is responsible for academic advising programs, both general and departmental. She develops programs and services to meet students' special learning needs. She initiates conferences with and provides support for students in need of academic advice or support, as well as students on conditional enrollment. Dean Martindell provides counsel to students on academic, social, and personal matters. Also, her office coordinates the First-Year Experience and works closely with the first-year dean on new student transitions. Dean Martindell is a source of information and advice concerning postgraduate awards, fellowships, and scholarships, including Fulbright Grants, Marshall Scholarships, and Rhodes Scholarships. Erin Salva, coordinator of disability services
Erin Salva, coordinator of disability services, is directly responsible for advising and supporting students with disabilities as they make the transition from high school to college. Students are required to provide documentation that is used for determining appropriate classroom accommodations. Erin also coordinates the Peer Tutoring program. Maureen Tobin is responsible for assisting students with their graduate and professional school planning. She guides and advises them in regard to: the graduate school timeline, researching programs, the application process (including writing essays, admissions tests, letters of recommendation, financial aid, etc.). She coordinates the preprofessional advisors, faculty who have expertise in a professional field. Kenyon has an advisor for: architecture, business & management, engineering, health professions, library and information services, ministry, law, social work, public health, clinical psychology and teaching. Maureen coordinates the Health Professions Advising Committee to advise students regarding the requirements and application process for medical, dental and veterinary school.
