Airport Shuttle Information

Kenyon College does not endorse any transportation company -- we are offering information so that students and parents will be aware of the options available.

Gambier Coach is the original student-run transportation service at Kenyon. They have used luxury motor coaches to transport students to and from Columbus airport during breaks in the academic year for six years and are in their fourth generation of student ownership. Their buses provide an affordable option with accommodations including air conditioning/heating, a bathroom, spacious reclining seats, and most buses offer free Wi-Fi access. Dormside Depot is an independent business started by a Kenyon alum. The business in now in its second generation of student ownership. Dormside Depot offers shuttle service between Kenyon and CMH international during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks. Columbus Transportation and Tours is a private company. Call 1-800-476-3004 or visit their website to make reservations and to inquire to the specific cost for each Break (October Reading Days, Thanksgiving, Semester and Spring.)

S&G Events Services is a privately owned limo service which will provide transportation to and from the airport. They will offer group rates. Contact Greg Ulen at 740-398-5341.

Dad's Taxi (740-485-9519) open 24/7 with one way trip costing roughly 6 dollars (they also have a van that can accommodate a wheelchair)

Knox Area Transit (formerly MOTA) (740-392-7433) cost is $5.50 one way (can accommodate wheelchair)

Madden Services (740-507-1391) open 24/7 cost is $7.00 (no wheelchair accommodation)

Mount Vernon Shuttle

If you need to go to Mount Vernon for shopping, a movie, or to get away -- hop on the shuttle! The shuttle leaves from Scott Lane next to the bookstore on the hour. Free for students with a student ID; $2 for non-students (round trip).

Wednesday, Friday: 4-10pm
Saturday: 1-10pm

Approximate schedule (on each hour):
4pm - depart from the bookstore
4:10 - stop along Coshocton Road
4:20 - stop in downtown Mount Vernon
4:30 - leave downtown for Coshocton Road and return to campus

The Shuttle routinely stops along Coshocton Road (movie theater, Knox Village Square, Wal-Mart, etc) and downtown Mount Vernon as requested.
