Shakespeare and English Renaissance expert Katherine Maus to speak at Kenyon College

GAMBIER, Ohio (September 3, 2004) Katherine Maus, the James Branch Cabell Professor of English at the University of Virginia, will present two talks at Kenyon College in September. Maus is an expert in English Renaissance and Shakespeare.

She will speak Monday, September 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Higley Auditorium. On Tuesday, September 21, she will hold a discussion at 11:10 a.m. in Peirce Hall Lounge.

Maus's book the Inwardness and Theater in the English Renaissance received the Roland Baintan Prize. A Guggenheim Fellow, she has co-edited The Norton Shakespeare and English Renaissance Drama: A Norton Anthology.

Her talks at Kenyon, which are free and open to the public, are sponsored by the College's Faculty Lectureships Committee and the Department of English.
