Up to three units of credit may be awarded to students who earn scores of 5 or higher on International Baccalaureate higher-level examinations. You receive one-half unit or one-half of 3 units. Upon receipt of an official transcript, the College's registrar, in conjunction with departmental faculty members, determines the allocation of the three allowable units. Individual departments then decide upon appropriate course placements.

International Baccalaureate credit, like Advanced Placement credit, cannot be used to fulfill distribution or residency requirements. However, it can be cited in petitions for early graduation.
