Greece Lightnin'
GAMBIER, Ohio (July 22, 2004) Swimmers Andrejs Duda, Class of 2006, Michelle Engelsman, Class of 2001, and Agnese Ozolina, Class of 2004, will compete in the 2004 Olympic Games in August. Duda and Ozolina will swim for the Latvian team, while Engelsman will compete for the Australian team. The summer games take place August 13-29 in Athens, Greece.![]() |

The Athens games represent Ozolina's third trip to the Olympics. She swam as a member of the Latvian team at the 1996 games in Atlanta, Georgia, and the 2000 games in Sydney, Australia. This is the first Olympic competition for Duda and Engelsman.
Ozolina has spent her summer training at Kenyon under the guidance of Head Men's and Women's Swim Coach Jim Steen, while Duda is training in Latvia and Engelsman is practicing at a swimming facility in Florida.
In the spring of 2004, the Lady swimmers won their twentieth national title in the last twenty-one years, and the Lords passed a milestone unequaled in collegiate athletics, winning their twenty-fifth consecutive national championship.
