Caps and Gowns

Seniors will sign up for their caps and gowns during Kenyon's graduation fair at the bookstore on Sunday, March 24, and Monday, March 25, from noon until 6:00 p.m. each day. The event will feature representatives from various college offices ready to answer questsions and offer assistance, an opportunity to order announcements and class rings, free food, and prize drawings.

Each Senior's regalia has already been paid for: the charge for regalia was included in the Commencement Fee on the December 2010 tuition bill. Caps and gowns will be distributed to Seniors at the Commencement and Senior Sing Rehearsal on Thursday, May 16.

Academic Hoods

Prior to crossing the stage to receive their diploma, Seniors will be hooded by two of the ceremonial marshals. THE ACADEMIC HOODS BELONG TO KENYON. If graduates or their families wish to keep the hood, it may be purchased for $120; payment may be made with cash, check, or credit card. If not purchased, the hood must be returned following the ceremony.

Seniors or a family member must return the academic hood to the Hood Return table at the Commencement Picnic or the Registration Center - and "sign off" on the check in list - by 7:00 p.m. following the ceremony on Saturday, May 18. If the hood is not returned, Graduates will be billed $120 for the cost to replace the hood.
