Honors
The Honors Program in economics provides an opportunity for more independent research and study than is available in regular courses of study. Honors candidates are required to participate in both the junior and senior honors seminars that are offered in the fall semester each year, and in ECON 375 (Introduction to Econometrics). In the honors seminars, students present and discuss with their peers the results of their research. The topic for the honors seminar changes from year to year. Topics of recent seminars include:
Economics of Immigration
Economics of Growth, and
Economics of Health.
Students interested in the Honors Program should discuss this possibility with a member of the department. Honors candidates must meet certain collegiate standards.
