As the Director of Student Activities & Greek Life at Kenyon, Christina Mastrangelo advises Greek life, works with student organizations and committees, coordinates programs through the Student Activities office, and is responsible for general student affairs administration.
After graduating from the University of Rhode Island where she was actively involved in the leadership studies minor and Greek life, Christina received a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University and a M.B.A. concentrating in Organizational Development & Leadership from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Before arriving at Kenyon in 2010, Christina served as Assistant Director for Leadership in CWRU's Office of Student Activities & Leadership and was responsible for managing leadership education programming and development for undergraduate students. While at CWRU, she also served as a House Director for the Zeta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Omega.
To stay on Christina's good side be creative, explore possibilities, set realistic goals and deadlines, treat others the way you would like to be treated, and be proactive, when possible. Originally from the Bronx, NY, she is a city girl at heart, but loves the outdoors and all that Gambier has to offer. She encourages every student to make the most of their Kenyon experience and to seize the wealth of opportunities surrounding them. Her door is always open so never hesitate to stop by the Student Activities office and say hello!
Kim Blank
Assistant Director of Student Activities
for Programming

As Assistant Director of Student Activities for Programming, Kim Blank advises Social Board- Kenyon's student programming organization, the Horn Gallery, Gund Gameroom, and Sound Techs and supports student organizations, coordinates annual campus events.
After graduating from Dickinson College where she was a student staff member in both the residence life and community service offices, Kim received a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. While at William and Mary, Kim served as one of the advisors to Alma Mater Productions (the campus programming board) and as a graduate hall adviser. To stay on her good side, be willing to think outside the box, be a team player, and draw from expertise and resources around you. Originally from York, PA, Kim is looking forward to returning to Amish country and exploring Ohio. Kim's favorite quote is, "Whatever you are, be a good one." -Abraham Lincoln.
Sam Filkins
Assistant Director of Student Activities for Leadership

As the Assistant Director of Student Activities for Leadership, Sam Filkins advises the leadership programs on campus and some programs sponsored by the Student Activities Office.
Sam graduated from Baldwin Wallace University (formerly Baldwin-Wallace College) where he was involved as a revitalizing founding father of his fraternity, student body president, among other activities. After that he received his M.Ed. in Higher Education College Student Affairs from University of South Florida where he served as a Graduate Advisor for the Office of Student Programs. From USF Sam went to the University of South Carolina Aiken and served as Assistant Director of Student Life, Greek Life and Community Service for two and a half years.
To stay on his good side, be willing to ask how things could be better, take time to laugh every day, and have a positive attitude. Originally from Ohio, Sam is looking forward to moving back to the state and seeing some snow. He encourages students to come by anytime and visit his office because helping students succeed is his passion.
