Oden Fellowships for Student Research or Language Study

Through the Oden Professorship, Professor Rita Kipp is able to fund student research or language study. These funds available to anthropology majors, Asian studies concentrators, and international studies majors focusing on Asia. Worthy projects include summer language study, especially of languages or levels not offered at Kenyon, and especially if this study complements plans to study off campus in the following year. Students may also apply for research or travel expenses connected with an honors project or independent study. Applicants should (1) complete a cover sheet, and (2) write a proposal no more than two single spaced pages in length describing the research project or how the language study fits the student's academic program. Finally, (3) expenses should be itemized in a budget justifying the amount of money requested.
