Two Ladies earn all-region cross country honors

Kenyon senior Laura Koss and sophomore Christina McNamara both earned all-region recognition at the season-ending Great Lakes Regional cross-country meet in Hanover, Indiana, recently. The pair of Ladies powered Kenyon to an eighth-place team finish in a field of thirty-four teams.

McNamara, who has battled illness this season, ran at less than 100 percent but still managed an individual twenty-second-place finish with a time of 23:39. Koss turned in a time of 23:56 and placed thirty-second among the 233 runners in the 6k race. The first thirty-five runners who crossed the finish line earned all-region honors. The honor was the second straight for McNamara, who finished last season's race in twenty-second place as well.

Senior Tenaya Britton added a forty-second-place finish with a time of 24:12, and junior Heather McMillan took sixty-third place by stopping the clock at 24:46. Senior Kathleen Moore capped off the Kenyon scoring with a time of 24:53, which was good for seventieth place.
